Default Excessive snoring?

Ok so I know that it's entirely normal for dogs to snore, but I'm getting a little concerned over the extent of Jackson's snoring, as well as this little cough thing that he's been doing when he gets too rambunctious playing with my hubby. He actually wakes my husband and I up sometimes with the snoring, and it sounds as though he's having trouble breathing, almost a doggy sleep apnea. The cough is just a quiet dry cough, and it only happens when he's really active. Goes away in just a few seconds. He also gets the hiccups fairly often, and seems to get quite upset when he has them. Should I be concerned? Or am I just being an overreacting pet parent?

The cough almost sounds like a cat with a hairball, if you know what I mean. He dry retches once or twice, and as long as we stop the high level of activity, the coughing stops right away.

Never hurts to have these things checked. Usually snoring is normal. Hacking and coughing may indicate a problem, with Madonna last week it was an upper respiratory infection, with Lucy it was a tumor in her throat. Lots of other things it could be, some minor, some major.

i would say that you must take your doggy immediately to doctor and give him a good treatment so that he may get well soon..
