Question My girl is having Head Tremors

I just adopted my Basset, Sallyann Sunshine in June '12. She is a lovely lemon girl with a wonderful personality. I've had her for 2 months now and just yesterday we noticed a slight back & forth head tremor. This morning it was more pronounced. I was wondering if this is an existing condition, would it not have shown right away? Or could it possibly be something growing in the yard during summer. My neighbors dog had 2 full blown siezures last summer but has had none since.

One of my Love Birds has siezures almost daily. And yes, just in case you are wondering, I have had dogs all my life and have been fostering for 10 years. Right now I have a Shiba Inu mix, Beagle/Lab, Beagle/Basset, and most recently passed my Long-hair mini Doxie and my Lab/Newfie.

If anyone can enlighten me I would greatly appreciate it.

Murray has head tremors from time to time- maybe 5 or 6 times per year- they last for 5 minutes, maybe a little longer. The vet told me they are a type of seizure but not to worry about them. When he has one I just get him to lie down and then sit with him quietly til it passes. Afterwards he usually takes a long nap, then he's back to normal. You might want to mention it to your vet, especially if they are increasing or are becoming more pronounced.

I am making a vet appointment for next week. When she did it this morning, I held her head still and it eventually stopped, about 2 minutes.

I would definitely have the vet check it. Myrtle did that a few times before she had her first grand mal seizure.
