Default Drooling Question...

Hey All,

So in the last few days Lucy has been drooling excessively. It started out of nowhere and today it seemed like she was very uneasy and kept barking and whining nonstop. Should I be concerned? Sometimes the barking/whining bit is all for attention but the drooling has me concerned just because she's never been a drooler. Thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!!

anxiety can cause drooling which would also erxplain other behaviors as well why she might be anxiious could be medical or something else. A host of mouth and other health issue can caus drooling as well. Any time anything occur out of the ordinary it is not a bad idea to check it out.

If the drooling is truely exceiisvew dehydration can be an issue. Had a cat that need to get sub Q fluids because of excessive drooling the concensious with out proof is he got himself a toad and that is a common reaction to licking toad skin.

Called the vet last wednesday and he told us to monitor her, but not be too concerned yet because she could be teething. So we watched her for a few days and now her drooling has stopped and she's back to her normal self, so i'm assuming it was indeed a teeth thing. Thanks for the replies!
