Unhappy LuLu has a lump

My 1.5 year old basset, LuLu, has a lump in her neck just under her left ear. We had it looked at by our vet, about 6 months ago, and he said it was fine, but now it has almost doubled in size. Please help, I'm really worried about her.

Sorry to hear about Lulu and her lump-- did the vet biopsy it the first time?

if not, sounds like it would be good for you to take her back to the vet to have it looked at and biopsied (or at least have them stick a needle in to see what it might be...) Lumps can be a lot of things, including benign lumps...

most lumps are not a problem if the lump ws biopised or fine needle aspserated earlier the vet will know if it possible for such a lump to turn cancerious, , suject to irregular growth, lipomas, cysts etc. Many benign growth like lipmas, and cysts can grow very rapidly and shrink just as rapidly . So whille a growth that gets bigger is certainly of some concern is is still way more likely than not , not a real health issue. Still it is best to have every lump checked out.

Yes, best to have it checked out but Bassets are prone to benign cysts and other lumps.

Have you had a chance to have the lump checked out by the vet yet? Please let us know what they find. Paws crossed they say its nothing just a little extra fat.
