He does look like he has long legs. Have you measured them? He is very cute though

Yeah, Mr. T, you do look like you've got long legs. I'm sure others on the forum will have more input about the breed. I remember coming across something called the Basset Artesian Normand (sp?) which I thought had longer legs, and is one of the ancestors of the basset hound. maybe take a look at that??

you are very good looking and have such a sad, sad face. btw, my person's last dog was also a Mr. T, so we loooove your name! (when they took Mr. T home as a puppy, they passed by a Trooper II, that was the inspiration for the name... haha, also tells you how long ago that was...)

He may have basset in him but those legs are not from a basset I'm afraid. Sometimes unscrupulous breeders will say anything to sell a puppy.

Trooper is adorable -- he looks like a sweetheart --love the last picture .... so sad about something. He does have long legs but lets just say .....some are tall and some are small....he is just one of the tall kids for his age.....and special!!!

Nothing wrong with a little mutt. Just ask my Harley. He will tell you he is purebred awesome.

I would agree that he has basset in him, but isn't purebred. He's still a handsome boy, tho!
