Our 6 year old female for the past several weeks has been drinking what to me seems to be excessive amounts of water. She drinks from her in house bowl, outside bowl or any she can find. At least two times during the night she gets up to drink. Her health is good, weight OK, blood work from vet checks out but the drinking worries me. Does anyone have any similar problems and or recomendations.

Have you talked to your vet about this?
This was one of the symptoms our old dachshund Hansel showed before he was diagnosed with Cushings disease; but sudden excessive water consumption could be indicative of other problems as well. Last edited by murraysmom; 04-06-2010 at 09:24 AM. |
