Question What do you guys think?

Hi all,
i recently got a new puppy im not sure of the age he was kinda thrown at us he is a white boxer around 5 months...and he has these pink spots all over his body they arnt completly bald but have thin hair. they vary in size from about a dime to a about 2 inches long. he does not seem to bothered by them he does not itch but a little bit. we have been bathing him everyother day with a mild oatmeal shampoo.

we got some over the counter hydrocortisone spray as well as "hotspot" skin remedy these are supposed to help with itching and irratation. if any one has any opinions or suggestions please get back to us.

It could be a staph infection, it sounds kind of similar to what Rosco had as a puppy although not quite so large as 2 inches. Rosco had those for awhile but some antibiotics from the vet took care of them.

Demodectic Mange?

Quote:
Individuals that are sensitive to the demodectic mites may develop a few (less than 5) isolated lesions (localized mange) or they may have generalized mange, in which case, there are more than 5 lesions involving the entire body or region of the body. Most lesions in either form develop after four months of age.
The lesions and signs of demodectic mange usually involve hair loss; crusty, red skin; and at times, a greasy or moist appearance
