High Packed Cell Volume (PCV)

Has anyone had this issue with their hound? Hazley had a bout of HGE right before Christmas, she's recovered, after 2 days of IV and misc meds. The vet wanted us to bring her back for a baseline PCV once she'd recovered. Well, it came back at 67%, normal is 37-55%. She's showing no symptoms, acting fine, eating, etc. They also ran a CBC to check, the red cells came back at 59%. After a consult with an internist, they did worry until the red cell were above 65%. Since she's showing no symptoms, they feel she may be a bit dehydrated, so we're to push more water and go back in a month for a recheck.

Of course I've been surfing the web and only found the worst...

But I'm keeping my hopes up there's nothing seriously wrong with my little one (she's 3 now.) Thoughts?
