Jake is l0 now and is a nose digger (I swear he is part beagle) but has developed a kind of fungal condition on his nose that keep spreading. It now covers his entire nose. Some sneezing and asthma-like episodes, but sporadic and brief. I am more concerned because a friend had to put her dog to sleep because he developed a similar fungus that came quickly (over two weeks) and he developed a cancerous growth on the top of his snout. The vet said this condition occurs in many long-nosed breeds. Anyone have any experience with this? My vet says not to worry unless something changes, but every time I look at Jake's nose it has taken on a life form of its own.
