Hi guys, I have a question that is purely out of curiosity. We purchased a "pet quality" basset, have had her spayed and never cared about showing her for conformation (we love her just as a pet). I have been comparing her to the breed standard in my basset books, though, just out of curiosity! The standard says something about the nose not having any "snipiness"...what does that mean? Does it mean a long pointy nose?

It refers to lack of lip. Dachshunds are snipey, compared to bassets.
