Default fur

Molly had her puppies 5 weeks ago and is now losing her her. I was brushing her and clumps are falling out. Does this have anything to do with it?

Finally! What? Have you been busy, or something??? It's like you had 11 puppies, or something....oh...wait...you did!

My guess is Molly is experiencing a BIG flux in hormones, like any new mom. Her body should return to normal soon.

So, we still need pictures. Where are you in Illinois? Have all the puppies been spoken for?

Yep, postpartum shed is normal. Do make sure, though, that she's getting adequate nutrition.

Paige had a litter last spring, but I never did see her lose hair. I have read, however, and heard other owners say that it's common.

Wow, eleven puppies? Paige had eight, and the vet was impressed by that! But eleven!?
